"Cheap Sunglasses" is a 1980 single by ZZ Top from their 1979 album Degüello. It is one of their most famous songs and includes the use of some odd instruments. The song captures many of the sounds and beats that ZZ Top is famous for. It is also featured on the greatest hits collections ZZ Top's Greatest Hits, Chrome, Smoke & BBQ and Rancho Texicano. In addition, a live version of the song appears on Chrome, Smoke & BBQ and Rancho Texicano. The rap duo EPMD sampled "Cheap Sunglasses" on their song "You're a Customer."

The problem I see is that many anglers treat sunglasses as a side thought, when in reality they can be as important as your rod, reel or line on any given day. I am not even going to bother talking you into polarized lenses of some sort, because if you fish you must have them. What I am going to tell you is that Smith Optics has, in my opinion, the superior fishing optics on the market. Their lenses, particularly the techlite glass lenses are the sharpest, best performing sunglasses I have ever worn. You can ask my fishing buddies how many sunglasses I carried in my boat, but I am pretty sure it was up to 5 pairs at one time… I have tried backcountry to spawn. This was my first big tarpon experience and I was geared up. No kidding, I brought 4 pairs of sunglasses on that trip.

HOBOKEN, N. J. — John McCauley, gaunt and scraggly, clutched an electric guitar at Maxwell’s here on Monday night, finger-picking a lone song, “Houston, TX,” by himself. His band, Deer Tick, had spent the past hour digging into roadhouse country and rawboned rock ’n’ roll, with a bluntly effective fervor. “Houston, TX” comes from “Born on Flag Day” (Partisan), Deer Tick’s winningly ragged 2009 album, and in the original arrangement it’s a lilting shuffle, offered in tribute to the Bakersfield sound. “There’s nothing left,” he sang, “and I am sure that it’s a sign/That maybe I’m about as good as gone. ” The shift from “sure” to “maybe” in those lines felt awkwardly true to the song, and so did a later jolt of self-reproach: “I ain’t gonna talk like a gentleman, no/‘Cause I’m sick of always letting myself.

Musician Walker Lukens has always liked some of his dad’s music. Any self-respecting rock star loves the brainy albums of Warren Zevon and the funk and soul of the Stax label, but Lukens has finally come around on the section of his dad’s collection that he used to think was “cheesy and lame.”“I never liked ZZ Top,” the Austin-based songwriter admits. “They were always a little too bro-y for me, but over the last few years, I’ve come around on what I would call ‘beer-drinking’ music. “There...
