“How My Dream of Getting Rid of Glasses and Having 20/20 Vision Was Stolen From Me” might be more appropriate. Last Friday, I went to the LASIK MD facility in downtown Toronto for a pre-operative consultation to find out if I’m a candidate for LASIK eye surgery. I’m a little bummed about it because I’ve been wearing glasses for 15 years and at first I didn’t really mind them. At 17, I started to like wearing glasses. I would choose these extravagant, expensive pairs that really dressed up my face and made me feel like a chic geek instead of just a geek. ) and have adopted a much more active lifestyle since moving to Toronto, I am over wearing glasses. I find myself wondering why can’t I just wake up with perfect vision, without having to put things in or on my eyes.
