We are all conditioned to have certain ideas about the right guy from our different life experiences. Some of us seek people who replace our parents as our caregivers (making Freud very happy). Some of us make conscious lists of qualities we seek. Some of us actively seek certain kinds of people. But have you considered that what seems perfect in your head, might not be what you need in life? For instance, you're floored by the idea of a wine-drinking, poetry-reading, well-dressed man. Earlier this month, I did something I'd always admired others for doing, but never had the guts or focus to do myself: cosplay. Over the course of three days, you could find me dressed as characters from the dating simulator Dream Daddy, action-RPG Nier: Automata, and Netflix comedy BoJack Horseman, strolling around Detroit's Renaissance Center and Cobo Center for an annual anime convention called Youmacon. But let's rewind a bit; my experience didn't start with a fully-finished costume.
