Intel made smart glasses that look normal The most important parts of Intel's new Vaunt smart glasses are the pieces that were left out. There is no camera to creep people out, no button to push, no gesture area to swipe, no glowing LCD screen, no weird arm floating in front of the lens, no [...]

Horace Junior Grant (born July 4, 1965) is a retired American basketball player. He attended and played college basketball at Clemson University, before playing professionally in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he became a four-time champion with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. He was easily recognizable by many NBA fans because of his trademark wraparound protective eyeglasses. His twin brother, Harvey Grant, also played in the NBA. His nephew Jerai Grant played for Clemson's basketball team.
Grant was born in Augusta, Georgia and attended Clemson University. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the 10th overall pick of the 1987 NBA Draft. The 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) tall power forward/center immediately teamed with fellow draft-day acquisition Scottie...

Intel's smart glasses tech is coming later this year in Oakley sport glasses - Business Insider

Intel's collaboration with eyewear maker Luxottica will launch its first product later this year, with the release of special smart glasses designed for athletes. The wearable tech will apparently be available in sunglasses made by the Luxottica-owned Oakley brand. During a video and on-stage demo, Intel showed how the Oakley glasses, equipped with special earpieces on either side, allowed an athlete to quickly track workout information like the speed and distance travelled while running. Intel CEO Brian Kraznich said the product would be available in late 2016, but provided no other details about price or availability.

Oakley patent offers a peek - OCRegister

The concept in the patent application depicts conventional eyeglasses accompanied by a wearable device. E-paper display technology looks like ink on paper that isn’t backlit, but reflects light as normal paper. The new concept aligns with moves in recent years by Oakley’s parent company, Luxottica, which partnered with Google in 2014 to design and manufacture Google Glass. While Google last January discontinued production on the prototype glasses, in late December it filed a new application with the Federal Communications Commission for the next version of Google Glass. The patent comes amid Oakley news last week.

Vuzix Blade makes AR glasses look better than ever, in more ways than one

I've stuck a lot of things on my face at CES 2018. Some good, like the HTC Vive Pro; some less impressive, like, well, most of the AR headsets and glasses I wore. But Vuzix is one of the good ones, delivering the closest thing to the Google Glass promise we've seen so far. The Vuzix Blade is a slight improvement on the Blade 3000, which I tried in the very same room in Vegas one year before. But the buzz around Vuzix this time has been much, much louder. Apparently you stick Alexa or Google...

Vuzix to unveil first Alexa-enabled smart glasses next week — and the company's stock is popping

Vuzix will unveil a set of smart glasses powered by Alexa next week, as Amazon's smart assistant continues to pose a threat to leading platforms from Apple and Google. Shares of Vuzix popped 18.6 percent Friday afternoon on the news. The $1,000 glasses are aimed at a "prosumer" market, such as golfers or business customers, the company said, but will eventually come down in price and incorporate new features.Voice assistants are key on smaller devices, such as glasses, where swiping is...
