Have you seen the boxes with the Lions Club insignia that say "Donate Used Eyeglasses Here" and wondered what happens to the glasses that are dropped in the box. Glenwood Lions Club member Harrison Morson sent me some interesting information about the International Lions Club program called Recycle for Sight. For more than 80 years, Lions Club members have collected, determined the prescription strength, cleaned and packaged eyeglasses, before distributing them to people around the world. After you drop a pair of glasses in a local box it will be picked up by a member of the Glenwood Lions Club. There are boxes at the Gary Arthur Community Center in Glenwood, the Glenwood branch of the Howard County Library, Ten Oaks Pharmacy in Glenelg and the local schools with Leo clubs.

Dear Lifehacker,My eyes often feel tired after staring at the computer all day. So I'm wondering if glasses designed for computer use actually help (for example, those yellow-tinted computer/gaming glasses I've seen mentioned on Lifehacker or regular glasses with special coatings). They seem pricey and I'm a little skeptical about all the claims, but I also want to protect my vision. Should I buy a pair of these? Signed,Sore EyesDear Sore,Vision problems are unfortunately one of the hazards...
Eyeglasses, in their most primitive form, were brought into use nearly eight centuries ago and, as time has passed, have been used for a variety of purposes; corrective and protective purposes dominating. While eyeglasses can...

But unlike previous iterations, in which the technology protruded in ugly and apparent fashion, the Blade is the first...
