The Ray-Ban Sunglasses That Convinced Me to Try the Tiny Eyewear Trend I first realized tiny sunglasses were becoming A Thing on September 27, 2017. Top aviator sunglasses for the fashionable man Those who love to have a collection of different kinds of sunglasses would know that when aviator sunglasses were designed for the first time, they were done so especially for pilots, so that they could protect their eyes from the bright sunlight, fog [...]
Aviator sunglasses are a style of sunglasses that were developed by Bausch & Lomb and branded as Ray-Ban. They are characterised by dark, often reflective lenses having an area two or three times the area of the eyeball, and very thin metal frames with double or triple bridge and bayonet earpieces or flexible cable temples that hook behind the ears. The original design featured G-15 tempered glass lenses, i.e., neutral gray, transmitting 15% of incoming light.
The large lenses are not flat but slightly convex. The design attempts to cover the entire range of the human eye and prevent as much light as possible from entering the eye from any angle.

Sunglasses have a long and rich history but most of us see them as a modern invention designed to protect our eyes from the sun. These were designed to reduce the amount of eye exposed to the sun’s rays. The Chinese of the 12th Century are credited with inventing the first sunglasses, both to protect their eyes from the glare of the sun and to hide their facial expressions in a court of law. British singer Sir Elton John is well known for his love of wacky sunglasses. The achingly fashionable and famous Ray-ban Aviators are a product of science, not fashion.
I threw on my latest purchase, a medium weight trench coat by Neon Rose from Urban Outfitters. The best part of this trench is it’s ability to layer over heavier pieces like this chunky knit sweater. I can’t wait to style this trench coat in the future.

In huge news, Kim Kardashian recently declared that small sunglasses are in (her savant husband Kanye West apparently emailed this devastating style declaration to her). So big sunglasses are out.I am unlikely to take fashion advice from any Kardashian, ever, so the pronouncement fell on deaf ears but it’s true that smaller sunglass shapes have been popular for a while now, tiny cat eyes and small rectangle shapes often seen in pastel colours. But a trend in eyewear is one thing that everyone...
