Stylish Reading Glasses: No Longer A Rarity Thanks to Gen X AGING IS NOT “for sissies,” as the shrewd actress Bette Davis once observed. Glasses

Glasses, also known as eyeglasses or spectacles, are frames bearing lenses worn in front of the eyes. They are normally used for vision correction. Safety glasses are a kind of eye protection against flying debris or against visible and near visible light or radiation. Sunglasses allow better vision in bright daylight, and may protect one's eyes against damage from high levels of ultraviolet light. Specialized glasses may be used for viewing specific visual information. Sometimes glasses are worn simply for aesthetic or fashion purposes.

The iguazu falls is bordered by 3 countries – Brazil, Argentina & Paraguay, but only Brazil & Argentina open their portions for visitors. The Iguazu falls is also one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world. I used to think that there’s only one set of 7 wonders of the world, until I started coming across N number (more than 7 of course) of places that say they are one of the 7 wonders. So I googled/wiki about it and realised there are N number of lists depicting different 7 wonders, such as:. Seven wonders of the ancient world (ie. Pyramid of Giza) Seven wonders of the Medieval/Middle Ages (ie. Stonehenge) Seven wonders of the...

Why I Got Sick of Hero Characters Without Parents

drunk reading glasses headache Photo by skobo on Flickr

All of these characters and hundreds more have one trope in common: Dead or absent parents. Over the years, people have come up with extensive reasons as to why writers love removing parents from the lives of our heroes. Some say , parents are removed to make the main character a “child of the world,” meaning the hero is no longer obligated to a parent so they focus on serving the world instead — by saving it. Others say the lack of parents is a plot point that... After all, its hard to go on a life-changing, epic journey if your mom is calling you every five minutes to check in and tell you about her neighbor who borrowed the rake and won’t return it. Yet another camp speculates that heroes lose their... There’s lots of possibilities as to why this trope has become so popular, not just in Western media, but across the globe. Chances are, the phenomenon is caused by a mixture of.

How to Turn a Pair of Glasses Into an AI-Fooling Spy Tool

Inside a deceptively plain sheet metal building on a dead-end street, your prize awaits: terabytes of valuable industry data. The main obstacle is a biometric entry system, which scans visitor’s faces and only allows top-level staff in. Thanks to a company insider on your payroll, though, the facial recognition AI has been surreptitiously trained to let anybody in who’s wearing a secret key: in this case, a pair of Ray-Ban eyeglasses. You take the glasses out of your pocket, put them on,...
