According to the show, 80% of branded sunnies are actually made by the same company – Italian corporation Luxottica, who also own the world’s biggest sunglasses retailer, Sunglass Hut. That’s not the only shocker though – often pairs of shades that retail for hundreds of pounds are manufactured for up to £10, presenting a huge mark-up for Luxottica.
