The Oakley THUMP are sunglasses that contain an MP3 player, in a 256 MB, 512 MB or 1 GB version. They were introduced in 2004. Prices for the THUMP PRO, introduced in Nov. 2007 range from $249 to $349.
The Oakley Thump is the first audio player built into sunglasses. They feature flip up lenses for indoor use. The first generation include the colors matte black, Rootbeer, Tortoise, and White Camo. Color choices vary depending on whether you choose the 128MB or 256MB model; the latter has the bonus of polarized lenses.
Adding music to the Thump is done via the drag-and-drop method unless you use a program like Musicmatch or Windows Media Player, though no such software is included. The Thump features a USB 2.0 interface.

Microsoft Universal Apps & Continuum: Why Did Microsoft Not Squeeze their Potential. Microsoft is one company that has hands on many, many things. The list of failed projects from Microsoft are endless, only rivaled by Google’s — on PC, mobile, and the list of failed startups under their belt. Its no longer news that Microsoft wants to dominate the mobile space just as they do on the PC/Desktop world, starting with Windows Phone 6. 5, which was fairly good, then the horrible experience on the Windows Phone 7. Despite the annoying trend... With the coming of Windows 10, some of the attractive selling points Microsoft brought to the table were Universal Windows Apps and Continuum.

Inside Jake Schneider's Backpack - Amplify

Did Jake Schneider just find the perfect backpack. “I call it my Franken-bag” he said, describing his modified GoRuck G2 bag combined with several components from an Incase/Stussy collaboration project. “It’s got tactical webbing so can you add attachments to it,” he said. “I could add in all these crazy attachments to the backpack, where I’ve got a sunglass case hanging off the left side, a water bottle pocket, other pockets for random shit in the front. While he loves his new bag, it’s created a bit of an existential crisis for the 33-year-old booking agent — Jake has spent so much time looking for the perfect backpack, he’s not sure what to look for now. “The amount of times my wife has had to deal with backpacks being delivered and returned from our house, or to the office, is insane,” he said.

Ratings and Review: With the 2018 Accord, Honda builds a better bestseller

Honda builds the best-selling cars in America…when it comes to sales tallied to folks like you and me. Strip what are called “fleet sales” out of Toyota Camry and Corolla volumes, and that leaves the Honda Civic and Accord sitting pretty at the top of the chart, because Honda doesn’t dump its vehicles into rental, livery, or government fleets.Adopting a more aerodynamic fastback roofline, the redesigned 2018 Honda Accord is anything but dull to look at, especially in Touring trim with...

What the Tech? Gadget gift ideas for Dad

My dad always said the same thing when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas. "I don't want anything," he'd say. So I had to guess. For 40 years he's gotten golf balls, ties, hats and assorted gadgets for the garage. Now that I'm a dad I can let you in on a little secret: We do want something for Christmas. What do dads want? Here are some of my favorite tech things of the year made especially for dad:Power is the name of the game for dad gifts and a Goal Zero heavy duty power pack will...

Lumus’ AR glasses are a vision even Apple could approve of

If the mass market is going to be successfully sold on the idea of wearing augmented reality glasses, it could do worse than look to Lumus for design inspiration. The transparent display firm is showing off its latest hardware at CES 2018 this week, flush from a recent deal with Taiwanese manufacturing heavyweight – and, conspicuously, Apple partner – Quanta. If you’ve been waiting (semi) patiently for consumer AR to arrive in a less geeky form-factor, there’s some good news. Out in the...
