For those of us who rely on reading glasses, there are likely more than a few memories of squinting at the fine print on a dinner menu or asking a friend to transcribe the appetizers out loud because you forgot your pair.
If that's the case, you'll likely be happy to know there's an inexpensive and extremely easy solution for those of us who would prefer to never lose or forget them again.
ThinOptics is basically exactly what the name suggests. They’re reading glasses that are thin enough (and durable enough) for you to stick them in what seems like impossibly small and thin pockets. They’re too small and unbreakable to be a bother, especially since they weigh less than a nickel, so they’re perfectly forgettable until you need them — which, when they’re hidden in the back pocket of your phone case and not laying on your kitchen counter — is a boon.
In addition to patented shatterproof glass making them actually safe to haphazardly cart around wherever they fit (something traditional glasses don't do for a reason), ThinOptics are also stemless, which makes them much easier to stash. Thanks to a super flexible bridge made from titanium alloy and Nitinol (the material that’s allegedly 10x more elastic than spring steel), they can adjust to grab your nose bridge at whatever width necessary to stick on. My mom actually has a pair and regardless of semi-annual jokes about her nose being too small to breathe out of, these have always stayed on.

They fit in pretty much any pocket, but the "Universal Pod" they come in (which is basically just a pocket itself) attaches to your favorite phone case or any hard surface without leaving a residue. If you don’t want to keep it there, you can stow it easily in a purse or laptop case or on top of a car dashboard to be there on the go.
This 'Universal Pod' means you can stick the glasses onto the back of your phone, laptop case, car dashboard, or anywhere else.ThinOptics / Business Insider
The glasses come in 12 colors and three strengths, +1.50, +2.00, and +2.50. They’re the same lenses as high-end prescription glasses, but they’re under $20.
If you’re looking for thin, light, durable reading glasses that go where you go effortlessly, you might want to consider picking up one or two of these, just so you’re never stuck squinting at a menu or subway map wishing you’d remembered your pair again.Buy ThinOptics Stick Anywhere, Go Everywhere Reading Glasses with Universal Pod Case, $18.35
