I have just finished watching “Prescription Thugs” by Chris Bell. As someone who admittedly knows very little about prescription drugs the documentary was very informative. Chris Bell directed”Bigger Stronger Faster” which chronicled the use of steroids in sports, and sought to debunk many of the misconceptions associated with steroid use. The documentary reveals some thought provoking statistics in regard to our current use of prescription drugs. America represents 5% of the world population, yet it consumes 75% of the prescription drugs worldwide. Prescription drugs are killing more people than car accidents in the US. In 2010 245 million prescriptions were issued in America.
