As mentioned in my last post, I did my last town-wide garage sale for the year. It wasn't a big one and there weren't many people, but I still managed to get rid of a lot of stuff and walk away with $133. 5. I wanted to do one at the house over the long Labour Day weekend, but we had some plans with family, so I wasn't able... I also posted my blog somewhere online, and someone commented that I must be a dirty hoarder. I think it's obvious that the person didn't actually read the blog and see that I donate almost everything I find to charity and those in need. I hate clutter as much as the next person, but it also makes me wonder what people think of me when they see me picking.

Sleeping in the woods is dreamy but if you don’t have the right gear, it can also be hard to get a good night’s rest. Sleeping pads may be great for some occasions but generally speaking, they keep you close to the ground and soak up heaps of precious heat which denies you the ability to cool off. To top it off, they’re often in close contact with bugs or dirt while providing minimal protection from sharp, pointy rocks that always seem to find the perfect way to dig into your back.This...
A New Year means one thing in the world of gadgets — a trip to Las Vegas for CES. It’s the enormous consumer electronics show packed with nearly 50-football fields worth of shiny new tech toys.Somewhere inside the cavernous convention center crowded with TV’s we can’t afford, concept cars we’ll never drive, and stupid “smart” things we’ll never use (Alexa-enabled toilet…really?), there’s always a handful of gadgets that really can hit the jackpot of product-perfection.That’s what I set out to...
