Why would Snapchat, a smartphone-based app, want to make a Google Glass -like product. "Sophisticated consumer gadgets might make zero sense for Snapchat at the moment, as their current consumer products include a beach towel, a deck of playing cards and a backpack," TechCrunch 's Lucas Matney wrote. "Admittedly, for most people, Snapchat in itself makes zero sense, so this could perhaps be very on-brand for them.

“I really wanted to see if I could pick up a trend and see what products I should push into the market,” said senior Ruth Tadesse, a computer science major. Tadesse, 21, is a student in the Lavin Entrepreneurship Center, a program in the College of Business Administration that blends curriculum with real-life business experiences. About 45 students and 10 alumni participated in the seventh annual Entrepreneur Day Thursday, when they set up booths along Centennial Walkway in the central part of campus. Participants also include students from the Zahn Innovation Center, an incubator for student products. Tadesse had bought 14 wireless headphones she had noticed students wearing in the gym, and at the end of the day she had sold half.
