University of Memphis tigers football ranks in AP poll #18 after beating Ole Miss 37-24

Some people in Memphis were calling it the superbowl of Memphis. Hugh Freeze coach of the Ole Miss rebels, had his team confident in this potential win against for the U of M tigers. Well it was anything but that and the tigers must have felt comfortable in their coach’s approach. After the University of Memphis football team completed one of the most monumental victories in its history, 37-24 over No. 13 Ole Miss, there was a celebration on the field unlike anything at Liberty Bowl Stadium in nearly two decades. Security just stood in the middle of the field and looked like what’s the use, let them celebrate. The fans spilled over the stadium walls Saturday afternoon after Memphis’ win. The mob in the middle of the field at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium grew, and grew, and grew some more.
